Cinnamon Applesauce ornaments
We had a blast making Christmas ornaments last night...and they smell great!
1 c applesauce
1 c cinnamon
1 T elmer's glue
Mix well, roll out and cut out with cookie cutters! We used a straw to poke holes for hanging the ornaments. We also baked them for two hours at 175 degrees in order to speed up the drying process. *hint* because there were so many of us, we quintupled (is that even a word?) the recipe and since five ups of cinnamon is craxy expensive, we subbed in wheat flour for half of it! You can paint these after they are dry if you wish, but I like the gingerbread rustic look!
